Outlook: Elleson, a 2008 graduate who played four years of high school basketball at Christian Liberty, returns to the private school to coach the Chargers. "I am very honored to be back at CLA coaching in the same gym that I played in," said Elleson, who graduated from Evangel University in Springfield, Mo. "As a first-year coach, I have nothing but high hopes for us this season. I am excited to see how the season unfolds and the progress each girl will make." The Chargers have three seniors on the team (Davis, Pipping and Arackal) along with four sophomore and five freshman. "There are several young girls on this team," Elleson said. "However, they hold so much potential. It is exciting to already see the improvement in our practices." As a senior at CLA, Elleson played for former coach Steve Rowland. "The girls who played on the team last year had a wonderful coach," Elleson said. "I have big shoes to fill. I played under coach Rowland and he was an excellent coach. It is evident that the girls are focused and are willing to work hard. This team works together and the girls help one another whenever they can."
