Grayslake North wins seventh straight

Kendall Detweiler scored 19 points, Brittney Thibeaux added 17 and Grayslake North's girls basketball team stayed hot with a 54-48 nonconference win at Evanston on Monday night.

Sidney Lovitsch added 10 points for the Knights, who improved to 19-8 with their seventh win in a row.

Grayslake North led 14-11 after one quarter and then outscored the Wildkits 15-2 in the second. Evanston trimmed its 29-13 halftime deficit to 40-28 after three quarters, but the visitors hung on.

Grayslake North will wrap up its second straight Fox Valley Fox Division title with a win tonight at home against Woodstock North.
