Dahlstrom, Grayslake C. win at Woodstock North

Morgan Dahlstrom produced another big game, and Grayslake Central’s girls basketball team picked up a 54-46 win at Woodstock North in Fox Valley Fox Division action Saturday.

Dahlstrom finished 28 points — one off her season and career high — and 15 rebounds.

Grayslake Central (17-9, 9-2) also got 12 points from Carson Sparkman and 9 from Lauren Spalding. Sparkman scored 9 points in the opening quarter in helping the Rams build a 23-8 lead. But Dahlstrom’s two buckets accounted for Grayslake Central’s only 4 points in the second, as it saw its lead trimmed to 27-22. The Rams then outscored the Thunder 11-9 in the third and 16-15 in the fourth.

Libertyville 34, Highland Park 27: At the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Sydney Mudd scored 11 points for the Wildcats, who snapped a five-game losing streak.

Jessica Van Roeyen added 7 for Libertyville (9-17).

Carmel 70, Nazareth 50: Kathleen Felicelli scored a game-high 20 points, and the Corsairs won their final home game of the season.

Cassidy Kloss and Leah Lach added 13 and 12 points, respectively, for Carmel (19-7, 3-5 East Suburban Catholic). The Corsairs led 32-23 after one quarter, but Nazareth (17-9, 1-7) was still within 7 points early in the fourth before the hosts used a spurt to extend their lead to double digits.
