Detweiler delivers as Grayslake North rolls

Kendall Detweiler scored 25 points, knocking down five 3-pointers, and Grayslake North’s girls basketball team defeated Woodstock 62-44 Wednesday night.

Brittney Thibeaux added 10 points for Grayslake North, which improved to 16-8 and 8-1 in the Fox Valley Conference Fox Division. Sidney Lovitsch and Maggie Fish scored 8 and 7 points, respectively, for the Knights, who won their fourth game in a row.

Grant 69, Lakes 51: Kaitlyn Wold poured in a career-high 20 points, which included three 3-pointers, for the Bulldogs in the North Suburban Prairie Division game.

Grant (9-12, 5-4) also received 14 points from Jasmine Sangster, 11 from Kaylie Kanzler and 8 from Michelle Filip (two 3s).

Kelsey Kohler had 14 points for Lakes (4-19, 2-8), and Natalie Pawlak scored 9.
