Hudson helps Lakes motor past Vernon Hills

Tramone Hudson poured in a career-high 27 points, and Lakes’ boys basketball team earned a 73-60 win over visiting Vernon Hills on Saturday night.

Lakes improved to 9-11 and 5-2 in the North Suburban Prairie Division. The Eagles received 11 points apiece from Ethan Sage, Jake Balliu and Michal Tomasiewicz.

Robby Nardini led Vernon Hills (10-8, 3-4) with 18 points. Sam Rattner and Bo Manso added 13 and 12 points, respectively, for the Cougars, who lost their fifth in a row.
