Can-do Kanzler gets 22 as Grant prevails

Kaylie Kanzler scored 22 points, as Grant’s girls basketball team defeated host Wauconda 56-51 in North Suburban Prairie Division action Friday night.

Jasmine Sangster added 16 points for Grant (8-12, 4-4), which won for the third time in its last four games.

Wauconda (9-8, 4-4) got 11 points apiece from Natalie Harding and Jessie Wood. Katie Rossetti chipped in 8 points and 8 rebounds, while Amber Head grabbed 9 boards. Maddie Gaschler also had 8 points.

Mundelein 58, Crystal Lake South 46: Natalie Busscher scored 17 points for the hosts Mustangs in their breast cancer awareness game.

Maria DeVito contributed 13 points for Mundelein (14-6), which won its third in a row and ninth in 10 games.
