Lipp, Libertyville handle Antioch
Jack Lipp stayed hot and Libertyville’s boys basketball team picked up a North Suburban Conference crossover win Tuesday night.
Lipp’s 25 points, including three 3-pointers, led the Wildcats to a 69-54 win over visiting Antioch.
Lipp, who hit a half-court shot against Zion-Benton last Friday night, has scored 132 points (26.4 ppg) in his team’s last five contests.
Matt Reed and Joe Borcia added 14 and 13 points, respectively, for Libertyville (9-6).
Antioch received 19 points from A.J. Marsiglio and 11 from Hamza Abdellatif, each of whom sank three 3s.
Zion-Benton 73, Round Lake 52: Milik Yarbrough’s game-high 23 points led three Zee-Bees in double figures in the North Suburban crossover.
Admiral Schofield added 11 points and Chris Moragne had 10 for Zion-Benton.
Round Lake (3-13) received 11 points apiece from Rayshawn Bommon, Mateusz Lopez and Michael Green.
Lake Forest 82, Vernon Hills 56: Junior forward Evan Boudreaux surpassed 1,000 points for his career in the Scouts’ North Suburban crossover win.
Boudreaux finished with 31 points and 15 rebounds.
Vernon Hills fell to 10-7 with its fourth loss in a row.
