Grayslake North rolls at Woodstock North

Brittney Thibeaux and Kendall Detweiler combined for 33 points, and Grayslake North’s girls basketball team stayed hot Tuesday night with a 57-38 road win against Woodstock North.

Thibeaux scored 14 of her game-high 17 points in the first half in helping the Knights build a 26-10 lead. Detweiler dropped in 11 of her 16 points after halftime. The senior guard hit four 3-pointers, as Grayslake North hiked its record to 11-6 and 5-1 in the Fox Valley Fox Division with its seventh win in its last eight games.

Maggie Fish added 8 points for the Knights.

Grayslake Central 58, Woodstock 43: Morgan Dahlstrom scored 14 of her game-high 20 points in the opening half for the visiting Rams, who led 18-15 after one quarter and then outscored the Blue Streaks 18-5 in the second.

Maddy Miller chipped in 7 points for Grayslake Central, which improved to 13-6 and 5-1 in the Fox Valley Fox.

Carmel 60, Loyola 53: The host Corsairs snapped a two-game losing streak with the nonconference win to improve to 14-4.
