According to Batavia coach Kevin Jensen, great defense by Erin Bayram (5 points) and Hannah Frazier (8 points) held Streamwood's talented Hannah McGlone to only 6 points.
Playing most of the fourth quarter, the lineup of Morgan Erickson, Katie Weber, Madeline Slater, Jess Koch, and Ana Marchiori held the Sabres to just 5 points.
Fruendt is now just 20 points away from Batavia's all-time scoring record held by Katie Issel.
St. Charles East 51, Elgin 37: St. Charles East defeated Elgin 51-37 on Saturday to improve to 9-9 overall and 3-2 in the Upstate Eight Conference River Division.
Katie Claussner scored 9 points to lead the Saints. Kyra Washington added 8.
Aurora Central Catholic 59, Walther Christian 49: Led by juniors Alex Horton and Kalie Soris with 16 and 10 points, respectively, the Chargers picked up a win on the road at Walther Christian.
The Chargers are now 9-7 and 3-2 in the SCC Blue Division.
