Lennartz, Grayslake Central roll

Alex Lennartz scored a career-high 20 points, and Grayslake Central’s boys basketball team remained undefeated in the Fox Valley Conference Fox Division with a 73-40 win over visiting Crystal Lake Central on Friday night.

Twelve players scored for the Rams, who improved to 7-7 and 4-0 in the FVC Fox. Grayslake Central led 24-15 after one quarter, 41-25 at halftime and 61-31 after three. Lennartz hit 8 shots from the floor and went 4 of 5 from the foul line.

Matt Loeffl and Charlie Anderson scored 8 points apiece for the Rams.

North Chicago 98, Round Lake 75: Karnell Wright led all scorers with 34 points, but the host Panthers dropped the North Suburban Prairie Division contest.

Round Lake (3-12, 0-5) also received 13 points from Mateusz Lopez and 12 from Michael Green.

North Chicago (13-1, 5-0) got 32 points from Jay Amos-Mays, 22 from Kurt Hall and 12 from Murray State-bound JayQuan McCloud.

Carmel 62, Joliet Catholic 49: The Corsairs triumphed on the road to improve to 12-3 and 1-1 in the East Suburban Catholic Conference.
