St. Edward heads to IC/Westmont title game
St. Edward 61, Morgan Park Academy 38: DaVontae Elam scored 12 points and 13 different St. Edward players scored as the Green Wave (13-1) advanced to Monday’s championship game of the IC/Westmont tournament. The Wave will play Evergreen Park Monday for the title at IC.
Guilford 61, Elgin 42: Desmond Douglas and Desmond Sanders each had 9 points for the Maroons in an “add-on” game at the Elgin tournament made necessary when St. Francis de Sales forfeited.
Chicago Hope 74, Streamwood 57: Cole Seger had 19 points and Max Draper added 18 for Streamwood (1-11) at the Wheeling tournament.
Dundee-Crown 58, Walther Christian 51: Kiwaun Stewart scored 19 points to lead the Chargers to a win at the Elgin tournament. Cordero Parson added 12 points for Dundee-Crown (4-8) and Juwan Stewart had 10.
Bartlett 74, Tilden 72: Ryan DiCanio had 24 points as the Hawks held on for a win at the Hinkle Holiday Classic at Jacobs. Justin Busch added 13 points and Robbie Jimenez had 12 for Bartlett (9-6).
Harvest Christian 68, New Jerusalem Baptist 33: Noah Fox had 19 points and John Vislisel added 15 for the Lions at the Alden-Hebron tournament. Brett Cramer added 12 points for Harvest.
CL South 72, Lakes 59: Austin Rogers led the Gators with 25 points at the Hinkle Holiday Classic at Jacobs. Chris Mahoney added 17 points for Crystal Lake South (11-2) and Caleb Johnson had 13.
Round Lake 66, Westminster Christian 45: Brian McDonough had 15 points and Sam Carani 11 for Westminster (6-8) at the Marengo tournament.
