Willowbrook tops St. Charles East for consolation title

Willowbrook defeated St. Charles East 67-54 on Saturday to win the consolation championship at the Wheaton North Falcon Classic.

The Saints (7-8) finished 2-2 in the tournament. They were led Saturday by Kyra Washington with 16 points, Amanda Hilton with 14 and Katie Claussner with 11.

West Aurora 47, Glenbrook South 44: Also at the Wheaton North tournament, the Blackhawks (11-3) also evened their record at 2-2 for the tournament with a win in the seventh-place game.

West Aurora was led by Abriya Zeitz (14 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals), Liz Skaggs (10 points) and Alexis Wiggins (7 points).

Aurora Christian 37, Kaneland 32: The Eagles won a matchup of local teams on Saturday on the third day of the Dixon Christmas Tournament.

The win puts Aurora Christian (10-5) in the consolation championship game Monday against host Dixon.

Alyssa Andersen led the Eagles with 15 points and 5 steals, Sami Hultine had 12 points and 5 assists, Charrissa Robinson finished with 4 points and 8 rebounds, and Natasha Brown grabbed 17 rebounds and totaled 3 steals.

Kelly Wallner led Kaneland (7-8)) with 11 points and Aly Van Bogaert scored 8
