Cary-Grove, Crystal Lake South post wins
Junior Katie Barker scored 34 points on 143 of 23 shooting (5 of 9 from 3-point range) as the Cary-Grove girls basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak with a 64-44 Fox Valley Conference Valley Division win over McHenry Wednesday night.
Abby Glaysher added 6 points for the Trojans (7-3, 2-2), who led 34-24 at halftime.
CL South 67, Jacobs 47: Rachel Rasmussen had 18 points and Chanel Fanter added 14 with 5 assists to lead the Gators (6-4, 2-1) to an FVC Valley win. Sara Mickow added 11 points and 10 rebounds for Crystal Lake South and Kianna Clark pulled down 8 rebounds. Jenn Barnec had 16 points for Jacobs (2-8, 1-2) and Carly Sidor added 11.
