Walther Christian 66, Aurora Central Catholic 61: Despite four players finishing in double figures, the Chargers dropped their Suburban Christian Blue opener in Aurora. Sean Harreld paced ACC with 15 points while Mac Cowen and Evan Schuetz finished with 11 points each. Andy Czerak also scored 10.

Sycamore 41, Kaneland 38: The visiting Knights came up on the short end of a tight Northern Illinois Big 12 East matchup despite a game-high 13 points from senior guard Drew David. Tyler Carlson and John Pruett chipped in 8 and 7 points, respectively for Kaneland (2-2, 0-1), which trailed 22-19 at the half.
