St. Edward moves to 6-0

The St. Edward boys basketball team ran its record to 6-0 for the season with a comeback win over Montini, 59-52, Wednesday night at the Aurora Christian Classic.

The Green Wave trailed 38-36 going into the fourth quarter but outscored the Broncos 23-14 in the final eight minutes to come away with the win.

DaVontae Elam led St. Edward with 16 points. Nick Duffy added 13 points and 8 rebounds, Danny Favela had 11 points and John Butzow had 8 points.

CL South 70, Woodstock 50: The Gators moved to 5-0 on the season as Austin Rogers scored 26 points in the Fox Valley Conference crossover win. Tyler Baker added 13 and Caleb Johnson had 11 points for Crystal Lake South.

Chicagoland Jewish 44, Dundee-Crown 33: Kiwaun Seals had 14 points and Nick Munson added 8 for the Chargers (1-4) in this nonconference loss.
