Elgin Academy sponsoring tornado relief drive

The Elgin Academy varsity girls basketball team is sponsoring a tornado relief donation drive running now through Tuesday, Nov. 26.

Donation boxes throughout the buildings on campus have been set up where students, faculty, staff and family members can donate. All of the items collected will be sent to United Way of South Central Illinois.

The Elgin Academy community, and residents of Illinois, are hoping for people to join in the effort for those who are in desperate need. Donations of anything families can give will be accepted from gently used clothing to nonperishable foods and everything in the middle.

Elgin Academy is hosting its annual Thanksgiving girls basketball tournament and community members can stop by EA anytime on Saturday to drop off any donations.
