Coach: Michelle Dawson (10th year, 135-117)

Top returnees: Seniors Olivia Walschot (5-7 G), Clarissa Ramos (5-10 F), Katie Swanson (5-11 G), Maria Von Ahnen (6-0 F); juniors Chelsea Gnan (5-6 G), Cece Rapp (6-3 F).

Top newcomers: Juniors Casey Gredzieleski (5-6 G), Ryann Scully (5-8 G); freshman Maddie Spagnola (5-2 G).

Outlook: After an 0-13 start to last season, a win in Tuesday’s opener over Westmont was a welcome sight for the Green Wave, who have more experience and depth than a year ago. Ramos (8.0 ppg, 4.8 rpg), Swanson (6.4 ppg), Gnan (3.0 ppg) and Rapp (8.3 ppg, 10.4 rpg) all logged significant varsity minutes last season and will look to lead the team this season. Freshman guard Spagnola shows great promise. “We’ve got a brutal schedule but we have some experience and we’re a deeper team this year,” said Dawson. “The girls each have different strengths and can contribute to a balanced team game. If we can work within our strengths as a team we can be successful.”
