Outlook: With a new coach and only one returning starter, the Wildcats, who were coming off back-to-back NSC championships, started last season by losing their first five games. Once they settled in, they started playing good basketball. They closed the regular season with a six-game winning streak and finished with a winning record. All-area guard Olivia Mayer and fellow all-conference player Dana Kym graduated, but the Wildcats look to be competitive again this winter. A large roster features seven seniors, four juniors, two sophomores and a freshman. Senior Rosie Lynch and junior Mary Wilterdink have both played varsity the last two winters. Junior center Becky Deichl (6-1) is back to provide a low-post presence, while freshman guard/forward Claire Keefe stands 5-11. The two sophomores up are guards Maggie Piazzi (5-5) and Erin Dunleavy (5-8).
