Last year: 2-19, 0-12 Independent School League (seventh)

Coach: DeWayne Robinson, third season (11-34)

Top returnees: seniors Jumel Julian (5-8, G); junior Spencer Schael (6-5, C)

Top newcomers: sophomore Dee Robinson (6-2, G); freshmen Andrew Wilson (6-2, G), Elliott Wittmeyer (6-2, G).

Outlook: The Hilltoppers aim for better results, led by returning senior guard Jumel Julian, 6-foot-5 junior center Spencer Schael and an infusion of young talent that includes 6-2 freshmen Andrew Wilson and Elliott Wittmeyer, both guards. “We have a pretty athletic freshman class with some strong returning guards and post players,” coach DeWayne Robinson said. “Our goal is to mold the talent into an up-tempo style offense. We will be strong at creating and rebounding but will need to continuously work on defense, shooting and offensive execution. This season will be a learning process, but we should be ready to compete for a regional championship by the end of the season.”
