MSA sets dates for camp

The Midwest Sports Academy will host a girls basketball camp this summer at Elgin Community College.

The camp will run June 17-19 and is open to players in grades 5-8.

The camp will focus on fundamentals, game situations, shooting and offensive skills, and will feature an advanced workout.

Coaches attending the camp include coaches from Hampshire, South Elgin, Harvest Christian, Westminster Christian, McHenry County College, ECC, North Park College, Saint Xavier University, NIU and Trinity International. Several college players will be attending the camp as well.

One of the camp leaders will be Seattle University assistant coach Dorena Bingham, Team Alaska’s AAU coach and a winner of three Alaska state championships as head coach at East Anchorage High School.
