Quincy Notre Dame (28-0) vs. Morton (30-4)

Scouting report: Two-time defending Class 2A champion Quincy Notre Dame was bumped up to 3A this year and hasn’t missed a beat. The Raiders beat their first five playoff opponents by an average margin of victory of 35.6 points a game. Quincy Notre Dame carries a 51-game winning streak into the weekend and hasn’t lost to an Illinois school since the 2010 state championship game against Bloomington Central Catholic.

First Team Associated Press All-Staters Kassidy Gengenbacher and Jordan Frericks, the latter committed to Missouri, average 18.5 points and 17.7 points a game, respectively.

Quincy Notre Dame is 7-0 against state-ranked opponents this year, including an overtime win over Rolling Meadows in Quincy. The Raiders took fourth in Class 3A in 2008, losing to Montini in the third-place game.

Morton is 18-0 since a loss to Morgan Park at the State Farm Holiday Classic. Leading the way is All-Stater and Illinois recruit Sarah Livingston, a 6-foot-2 senior averaging 12.6 points per game and the younger sister of former Peoria Central star Shaun Livingston. Two of the Potters’ four losses came when Livingston was out with an injury.
