St. Thomas More, Nashville will battle for 2A crown

Shay Harre scored 19 points and had 6 rebounds Friday night as Nashville ran away with Walther Lutheran, 50-29, in the Class 2A girls basketball state semifinals at Redbird Arena in Normal.

Shannon Rennegarbe added 10 points and 7 rebounds for Nashville (33-2).

Dana Turner had 16 points and Isimeme Edeko pulled in 11 rebounds for Walther Lutheran (26-8).

St. Thomas More 62, El Paso-Gridley 48: Tori McCoy had 24 points and 14 rebounds to lead Champaign St. Thomas More to a win in the second Class 2A semifinal. Lexi Wallen added 20 points for top-ranked St. Thomas More (33-2). Codee Schlipf had 14 points and Jenna Souhrada added 11 for El Paso-Gridley (29-3).
