Aurora Christian wins share of SCC Gold

Aurora Christian earned a share of the Suburban Christian Conference Gold Division title by posting a 48-41 victory over Wheaton Academy on Senior Night in Aurora.

Junior Alyssa Andersen dropped in a game-high 18 points and senior Alex Hultine added 13 as the Lady Eagles (17-8, 7-3) set a school record for wins in a season.

Natasha Brown contributed 8 points and 21 rebounds in the win while Kirsten Madsen finished with 7 points.

Clarissa Robinson (15 points) and Jamie Netzle (10 points) paced Wheaton Academy.

Kaneland 42, Yorkville 35: Ally O’Herron tallied 12 points and Brooke Harner added 7 as the visiting Knights held on in Northern Illinois Big XII East action.

Kaneland (13-10, 5-4) connected on 8-of-12 free throws in the fourth quarter to hold off the Foxes. Emma Bradford, Vanessa Gould and Ashley Prost scored 6 points each for Kaneland while Kelly Wallner grabbed a team-high 8 rebounds.
