Dondre Watson had six 3-pointers and finished with a career-best 20 points to help Palatine past Plainfield Central in tournament action hosted by Marshall on Saturday.

Roosevelt Smart also had 20 for the Pirates (12-8), who will face Metea Valley in the first of two games on Monday as the tournament continues.

Point guard Chris Macahon finished with 13 points and Josh Baldus had 10 for Palatine. Coach Eric Millstone said many of Watson's 3s were the result of crisp passes from Macahon.

"He's always been a really good shooter," Millstone said of Watson, "but Chris did a really nice job of getting him the ball in the right spot. He was getting good looks."

• The Pirates kept a share of the MSL West lead by beating host Hoffman Estates on Friday night 63-47.

Smart had 19 points, Baldus had 16 and Greg Grana 13.

Jimmy Ward had 12 points and Joe Biko 11 for Hoffman Estates.

St. Viator 86, Nazareth 81: Sophomore Mark Falotico (24 points, 7 assists) junior Ore Arogundade (22 points, 11 rebounds), Patrick McNamara (17 points, 4 3-pointers) and senior Kevin Hammarlund (15 points, 8 rebounds), led St. Viator to its highest-scoring game of the season as the visiting Lions improved to 12-3 and 3-1 in the East Suburban Catholic.

Arogundade and Falotico each had two 3-pointers in Lyons while Hammarlund and Robert Grant had 1 apiece.

Maine West 53, Collins Academy 46: Junior Anthony Dones scored 20 points and Allante Bates added 14 as Maine West overcame a 10-point deficit to defeat visiting Collins Academy 53-46 in the nonconference game.
