St. Charles East rebounds at Wheaton North

St. Charles East 62, Jacobs 49: Paige Jordan (14 points), Carly Pottle (12 points) and Amanda Hilton (10 points) Thursday at the Wheaton North tournament helping the Saints (8-7) to a 13-point victory.

Laney Deckrow added 8 points and Kyra Washington 6.

Schaumburg 62, West Aurora 44: The Blackhawks lost their second straight at Wheaton North despite 11 points from Taylor Jacobsen and 9 by Alexis Wiggins.

Resurrection 63, St. Charles North 58: The North Stars (4-11) led 36-29 at halftime Thursday at the Dundee-Crown Charger Classic before a 15-6 third quarter turned the outcome against them.

The North Stars, who made just 4 of 14 free throws, were led by Alex Silverman and Sam Novak with 14 points, and both players hit four 3-pointers. Nichole Davidson added 11 points.

Downers Grove South 37, Aurora Central Catholic 33: In a closely fought game at the Oswego East Classic that saw the lead change 6 times, Downers Grove South outlasted a short-handed ACC squad that was missing starters Alex Horton and Gabi Alfaro who were both out with injuries.

Lisa Rodriguez led the Chargers with 14 points and Kalie Soris scored 8.

The Chargers (6-6) take on Lemont at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Oswego East.

Dunlap 54, Aurora Christian 36: The Eagles (8-6) lost at the Dixon Christmas Tournament despite 9 points from Melissa Moser, 8 by Alyssa Andersen and 6 from Natasha Brown.
