Shannon Ryan poured in 16 points, Victoria Trowbridge had 14 and 15 rebounds, and No. 4 Naperville Central beat Buffalo Grove 51-43 in first-round action Wednesday at the Dundee-Crown Charger Classic. Laura Dierking and Jamie Cuny each added 8 points for the Redhawks (14-1), who advance to play New Trier today.

Montini 77, St. Francis de Sales 39:

Kateri Stone hit seven 3-pointers en route to a 23-point afternoon, and No. 2 Montini used a 20-0 first-half run to blow open its first-round game at the Montini Christmas Tournament. Kelly Karlis added 11 points, Malayna Johnson 9 and Claire Jakaitis 8 for the Broncos (15-1), who advance to play Batavia at 3 p.m. Thursday. In other action Jackie Kemph scored 28 points -- all in the first half -- in No. 1 Rolling Meadows' 88-38 win over St. Joseph and Ashley McConnell tallied a personal-high 35 as Fremd beat Proviso West 64-47.

Metea Valley 63, Plainfield North 46:

Bria Walker tossed in 19 points and Lori Obendorf 10 for the No. 17 Mustangs (12-3) at the Oswego East Holiday Tournament.

York 49, Joliet Central 22:

Sarah Milkowski had 14 points and 3 steals and Jessica Bianchi added 7 points and 5 steals for the Dukes (7-6) at the Oswego East Holiday Tournament.

East Aurora 46, Addison Trail 41:

Kelsey Horvath scored 14 points and Claudia Denigris 11 for the Blazers at the Oswego East Holiday Tournament. Tyshee Towner tossed in 24 for East Aurora.

Wheaton Academy 37, Westmont 32:

The Warriors ran out to a 15-4 lead after a quarter and held on in first-round action at the Lisle Cage Classic. Marissa Gagliano had 10 points and 6 steals and Netzley 8 points, 9 steals and 7 rebounds for Wheaton Academy.

Fenton 56, Leyden 44:

Tina Guarino scored 20 points and Sidney Montano added 14 for the Bison at the St. Viator Tournament.

Cary-Grove 58, Lake Park 35:

The Trojans bolted out to a 20-7 lead after a quarter and breezed home at the Mundelein Holiday Tournament. Emily Duckhorn scored 12 points and Steph Sturino 9 for the Lancers (0-14). Olivia Jakubicek paced Cary-Grove (8-4) with 16.

Hinsdale Central 53, Jacobs 41:

Lily Sarros powered in 21 points and Gabrielle Rush had 11 for the No. 18 Red Devils (10-2) at the Bill Neibch Falcon Holiday Classic.

Elk Grove 38, Glenbard North 30:

Katie Wisniewski scored 12 points for the Panthers (4-8) at the Bill Neibch Falcon Holiday Classic. Diamond Boyd paced Elk Grove with 20.

Romeoville 45, Hinsdale South 44:

Toni Romiti threw in 25 points for the Hornets at the Montini Christmas Tournament.
