Batavia goes inside for win

Batavia 73, Elgin 25: The Bulldogs (10-4, 3-1) got off to a quick start against Elgin, hitting 6 of their first 7 shots from the field to lead 25-4 after one quarter of play.

The post duo of Erin Bayram and Hannah Frazier had another outstanding game, combining for 35 points.

No. 20 Batavia returns to action Thursday against No. 12 Streamwood. Batavia is asking fans to bring donations, specifically paper goods (Kleenex, toilet paper, etc.), to donate to the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry.

East Aurora 42, West Aurora 41: The Blackhawks (5-6) came up 1 point short despite Taylor Jacobsen's 13 points and 6 rebounds, 9 points and 4 assists from Abriya Zeitz, and Molly Jordan's 7 points and 4 rebounds.

Newark 47, Aurora Christian 26: The Eagles (7-5) lost despite 14 points from Alyssa Andersen and 16 rebounds by Natasha Brown.
