West Aurora rolls by Glenbard North
West Aurora 49, Glenbard North 27: The Blackhawks outscored Glenbard North 25-6 in the second half on their way to victory Thursday.
Taylor Jacobsen just missed a double-double with 10 points and 9 rebounds, plus 5 steals. Erin Jacobsen had 5 points, 6 assists and 6 steals.
Abriya Zeitz led West Aurora in scoring with 12 points plus 6 steals. Liz Skaggs chipped in 8 points and 5 rebounds, and Kyler Robinson scored 10 points.
Antioch 44, Kaneland 34: The Knights (7-2) were in good shape looking to rebound from their first loss of the season against DeKalb, leading 11-7 after the first quarter, 15-11 at halftime and 25-23 going to the fourth quarter.
Antioch outscored the Knights 21-9 in the fourth quarter for the comeback win.
Ashley Prost led Kaneland with 11 points. Caroline Heimerdinger and Emma Bradford both scored 7.
Rosary 59, Larkin 26: The Royals (6-8) snapped a 4-game losing streak with this win at the Oswego Holiday Tournament.
Rosary led 21-6 after one quarter and 31-13 at halftime. Karly Tate led with 13 points, Rachel Choice scored 9, and Emily Bakala and Quincy Kellett both had 8.
Geneva 58, Naperville Central JV 21: The Vikings (8-5) bounced back from a loss to Streamwood with an easy win over the Redhawks’ JV team Thursday at the Benet/Naperville North Tournament.
York was originally scheduled to be in the tournament but dropped out. Officials couldn’t find another varsity team which is why Geneva played a JV team Thursday. Next year Loyola will join the field.
Sami Pawlak led Geneva with 15 points, Janie McCloughan scored 12 and Morgan Seberger 10.
