Junior guard Jackie Kemph played her first high school game in the big city Saturday night.

And she pulled off a big milestone.

The Rolling Meadows guard hit a free throw with about three minutes remaining for game-high 27 points and the 1,000 point of her career as the Mustangs topped Bishop Gorman High School (Las Vegas) 79-51 at Whitney Young High School in Chicago.

"Jackie was outstanding," said Meadows coach Ryan Kirkorsky, whose team improved to 10-0. "She set the tone and everyone played their roles perfectly.

"They (Bishop Gorman) had a lot of skilled players. We talked about coming back with a lot of energy after playing the night before (59-42 win at Elk Grove).

Kemph also had 3 3-pointers, 7 assists and 4 steals.

Alexis Glasgow poured in 20 points with a pair of 3-pointers while Jenny Vliet had 12 rebounds, 6 points and 4 assists and a 3-pointer.

Also reaching double figures for Meadows was Morgan Keller (10 points, 8 rebounds) while Ashley Montanez added 6 points.

Elizabeth Vasilogambros and Sami Kay also had 3-pointers for Meadows, which had 8 total.

1,000 Club: Maine West junior Brittany became the quickest Warrior to reach 1,000 points in Wariors coach Derril Kipp's 32 season.

The 6-foot junior forward did it on Friday night when she scored her fifth point in the first quarter at Maine East.

Collins ended up with a game-high 24 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocked shots as the Warriors topped the Blue Demons 55-48.

Palatine 56, Resurrection 45: Palatine improved to 10-1 with the nonconference win over Resurrection (7-6).

Junior forward Erin Mayer led Palatine (10-1) with 13 points while sophomore Monica Masini collected 12 points and 15 rebounds.

Palatine trailed 8-4 are one quarter but outscored the Bandits 20-13 in the second quarter when Morgan Radtke scored 8 of her 11 points.

The 5-foot-9 junior guard also pulled down 9 rebounds in the contest.

"Morgan really did a nice job in the second quarter," said Pirates assistant coach Bill LePage. "We were running a lot with our transition game and scored a lot of points off our defense."

Senior guard Nia Pappas was the fourth Pirate to reach double figures, netting 11 points with her 5 assists and 4 of 4 free throws.

Conant 51, St. Charles East 49: DeeDee Durr scored a team-best 11 points and Haley Anderson added 10 as Conant improved to 3-7 with the nonconference victory in St. Charles.

Durr and Sarah Mazurek made clutch free throws in the final quarter.

"It was a great team effort," said Conant coach Dan Travers. "Morgan Retzer gave us quality minutes off the bench and Lilly Chavarria did a great job defensively."

Travers also noted that sophomore Sydney O'Keeffe took some key charges on defense and Anderson also had big points in the fourth quarter.

"Freshman Nireet Dhillon also provided key minutes," Travers said. "And Lexi Zades did a great job defensively."

Joliet Catholic 63, St. Viator 37: Nicole Ekhomu (15 points) and Christina Ekhomu (13) led Joliet Catholic (8-1, 2-0) over the visiting Lions (5-4, 0-2) in the East Suburban Catholic Conference match.

New Trier 49, Buffalo Grove 38: Kathryn Pedi, Meg Neuhaus and Jeannie Boehm each scored 10 points for New Trier (6-3) against the Bison (2-6) in the nonconference game in Winnetka.

Schaumburg 74, Westminster Christian 60: Amanda Kelly (16 points), Carly Brossard (9), Jada Blackwell (9), Riley Williams (8) and Madison Laramie (8) led the visiting Saxons (4-5) in the nonconference win.
