Aurora Central rallies by Walther

Trailing 29-9 after one quarter, Aurora Central Catholic came storming back to secure a 76-68 Suburban Christian Gold Conference victory over Walther Lutheran Saturday in Melrose Park.

Anthony Andujar paced the Chargers (4-1, 1-0) with 23 points while Shawn Soris and Phil Schuetz contributed 19 and 17 points, respectively.

Aurora Central trimmed the lead to 47-36 at the half, then blitzed the Broncos with a 26-7 run in the third quarter to take a 62-54 lead.

Aurora Christian 61, Montini 38: Cory Windle scored 19 points and Ryan McQuade went for 17 as the Eagles captured the title of the Burney Wilkie Classic Tournament at Aurora Christian. Senior guard Hayden McNelis controlled the flow of the game for Aurora Chrisitan (3-1).
