DeKalb edges Benet

Two free throws in the closing seconds gave host DeKalb a 42-41 win over No. 9 Benet on Tuesday. Christen Prasse scored 14 points and Jenna Martin 10 for the Redwings (5-2).

Neuqua Valley 60, Lake Park 29:

Allison Hedrick scored 12 points and Myia Starks 10 for the No. 3 Wildcats (7-0, 1-0 Upstate Eight Valley), who rolled out to a 39-8 halftime lead in Naperville.

Montini 71, St. Edward 9:

Kateri Stone poured in 14 points and Paulina Castro 11 for the No. 1 Broncos (6-0, 1-0 Suburban Christian Conference Blue) in Elgin. Claire Jakaitis and Sara Ross each added 10 points.

Glenbard North 46, Aurora Central 36:

Amy Falson tallied 10 points and Katie Wisniewski 9 for the Panthers (2-4).

Hinsdale Central 52, York 33:

Gabrielle Rush scored 17 points, and the host Red Devils outscored the Dukes 16-2 in the third quarter to open what was a 1-point halftime lead. Lilly Sarros and Jenna Broz each added 12 points for No. 15 Hinsdale Central (4-1, 1-0 West Suburban Silver). AnnaBell Lansdowne scored 9 points for York (3-3, 0-1).

Downers Grove South 60, Proviso East 45:

Kirsten Zemke powered in 25 points, and the Mustangs outscored the visiting Pirates 20-10 in the third quarter to rally from a 25-19 halftime deficit. Megan Brashaw chipped in 10 points for Downers Grove South (3-2, 1-0 West Suburban Gold).

Lisle 42, Wheaton Academy 17:

Kristina Fernette's 18 points paced the host Lions (5-2).

Hinsdale South 64, Morton 50:

Toni Romiti poured in 28 points and Mackenzie Kern had 16 for the Hornets (2-3, 1-0 West Suburban Gold).
