Dudle resigns at Buffalo Grove

Pat Dudle, who has coached the Buffalo Grove girls basketball team the past four years, has announced his resignation.

This spring, Dudle will begin his fifth season as the head girls soccer coach at BG, where he is in his second year as a full-time physical education, driver’s education and health teacher.

“I feel this move will alleviate a lot of stress in my life,” said Dudle after a season in which the Bison were 6-25 and 2-8 in the Mid-Suburban East. “I will have more time to spend with my wife and two daughters.

“It will allow me more time and effort into being a better husband, father, and teacher.”

Dudle’s top team was in 2010-11 when the Bison were 17-15 and 7-3 in the MSL East. BG was 43-82 in his four seasons.

Dudle had coached in the BG program for eight seasons prior to taking over in 2008. He replaced Hall of Fame coach Tom Dineen, who had served as BG’s coach since 1979, winning 677 games and a Class AA state championship in 2000.

“Basketball has been an enormous part of my life,” said Dudle, who played basketball and soccer at Rolling Meadows. “There is no question I will miss it next season, and I do not rule out returning to the game in the future.”
