Glenbard North surprises West Chicago

Glenbard North 49, West Chicago 43:

Jackie Jacobs scored 15 points and Bri Harn 12, as the Panthers (5-16, 1-9 DuPage Valley Conference) upended West Chicago in Carol Stream for their first DVC win. Glenbard North outscored West Chicago 24-9 in the second quarter for a 32-22 halftime lead, and held on down the stretch. Claire Monroe scored 12 points, Meagan Radloff and Mary Connolly 10 apiece for West Chicago (15-7, 6-4).

Lake Park 56, South Elgin 49:

The Lancers outscored the Storm 24-11 in the fourth quarter to rally in Roselle. Alexis Hahn had 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for Lake Park (10-12, 3-5 Upstate Eight Valley).

Glenbard South 48, Illiana Christian 42:

Nevena Markovic poured in 27 points to pace the 13th-ranked Raiders (20-3, 9-0 Metro Suburban), who led 28-14 at the half in Glen Ellyn.

Naperville Central 47, Glenbard East 40:

Emma Donahue returned from missing the last two games with the flu to score 13 points, powering the DVC-leading Redhawks in Lombard. Emma Ondik scored 16 points and Jill D'Amico 10 for No. 10 Naperville Central (17-8, 9-2), who outscored Glenbard East 21-7 in the second quarter to take a 14-point halftime lead. For Glenbard East (4-17, 1-9) Michaela Stranski scored 12.

Wheaton North 58, West Aurora 43:

Fantasia Vine and Mandy Traversa each scored 12 points, and the visiting Falcons kept pace in the DVC race heading into Saturday's showdown with Wheaton Warrenville South. Sydney Sharkey added 11 for No. 18 Wheaton North (15-6, 8-2).
