Grayslake Central improved to 17-2 overall and 6-0 in the FVC Fox.

Alex Scarbro and Rebekah Llorens led the way for Grayslake Central with 18 and 16 points, respectively. Scarbro went 9-of-12 from the free throw line.

Down by 1 point at halftime (27-26), the Rams outscored Woodstock North 13-6 in the third quarter to take control.

Grayslake Central, which also got 8 points out of Kat Dickson, hasn't lost a game since Nov. 23 (49-32 to Libertyville).

Hersey 57, Latin 39: Hersey's girls basketball had a new challenge Monday night in the Season's End tourney contest at its own Carter Gymnasium.

For only the second time in four years, the Huskies were without all-stater Megan Rogowski.

The DePaul-bound guard suffered a broken pinkie on her left hand in the third quarter of Saturday's 67-60 win over Prospect.

But the rest of the Huskies (15-3) showed their toughness and still rolled past Class 2A Latin High School (Chicago) for a 57-39 triumph in the nonconference contest.
